Image on Demand and Archive System

The Challenge
Traditionally, the process for retrieving customer-requested documents has involved physically going to the site where the documents are stored and hand delivering them to the customer. This method is inherently time-consuming, expensive and inefficient.
 

The Solution
With ever-increasing expectations to access documents quickly, Iron Mountain is using NetVue, a feature of ImageGear Enterprise, to develop Image on Demand and Image Archive document retrieval solutions. With Image on Demand, Iron Mountain will first retrieve, prepare and scan the documents. They will then post it on their secure Web site and send the requester an e-mail notification with a link to the site where the document is available. When the user goes to the site, they will authenticate, and a secure connection will be made between the Iron Mountain Web site and the customer's computer. The customer will be able to view, download, print or email the requested document.

With Image Archive, when a customer requests a document, the file will be pulled, prepped and scanned. Instead of putting the image file on a secure Web site, it will be posted to the customer's Image Archive. The customer will then be able to retrieve it using an indexing element (i.e., employee last name, social security number, etc.).
