Web Based solution for scanned documents

 

PRG-Schultz (formerly Profit Recovery Group), located in Atlanta, Georgia, is the world's leading business transaction assurance firm. They provide a comprehensive suite of services for the recovery costs associated with the overpayment of payables and other expense items.
 

The Challenge
PRG-Schultz has traditionally relied upon large centralized locations for the scanning, indexing and processing of the wide variety of document types required for their operations. With increasing demand for decentralized operations domestically and abroad, they were in need of a Web-based solution that provided high-speed delivery and display of scanned documents, using minimum bandwidth. This would allow PRG-Schultz to keep the labor costs associated with the indexing as low as possible.
 

Solution
Utilizing NetVue, a feature of ImageGear Enterprise, PRG-Schultz developed ImagePro, a distributed forms processing application. ImagePro has many advanced features, including the ability to utilize templates, and scalability from laptops to high-end servers.
 

With NetVue's patented Network Document Streaming™ technology (NDS), PRG-Schultz found it was possible to display documents instantaneously with a Web-browser and the NetVue client.
 

Return on Investment
In essence, NetVue enabled PRG-Schultz to separate their scanning, storage and indexing operations. As a result, their indexing operation have been moved from expensive domestic data centers to offshore locations.
