Introduction to Lossy Image Data Compression

In this presentation, a software engineer from Accusoft Pegasus describes the fundamentals of lossy image data compression. Rather than simply describing how images are compressed in well known formats like JPEG, he focuses on conveying the underlying principles in an intuitive way.
