FILEPRINTER LAUNCHED FOR EASY PDF CREATION BY PEGASUS IMAGING |
TAMPA, FL, September 8, 2006 – Pegasus Imaging Corporation, the leader in digital imaging software technology, today released the FilePrinter™ application for easy PDF creation. This new product complements the company’s existing document imaging product line. The FilePrinter is a PDF printer driver offering easy PDF creation from any application running under Microsoft® Windows® including Word® and Excel®. It installs as a printer so users can simply select the Pegasus FilePrinter to create a PDF from almost any document. Users may either print from an application or quickly drag a file to the FilePrinter desktop shortcut icon to create a PDF. Users can include hyperlinks, control compression, add password protection, embed fonts, append pages, and include document information such as title and keywords. "Pegasus is committed to providing end-to-end solutions for creating, manipulating, and viewing documents in universal formats such as PDF and TIFF,” says Paul Firth, technology product manager at Pegasus Imaging. “The FilePrinter allows our developers to distribute standard PDF creation facilities to their end-users, who can then write PDF files from almost any Windows-based application. It's a natural complement to our ImagXpress™, PDFXpress™, and Prizm Viewer® products." FilePrinter enables PDF output capabilities allowing users to create shareable documents from proprietary application storage formats.
