FolderBots runs as a Windows Service to perform automated image processing. Each “bot” monitors an input file folder, performs user-configurable processing on images arriving in the folder, and writes output files to a user-specified folder. FolderBots convert color to bitonal images, and perform bitonal image cleanup operations including deskew, despeckle, and border removal. They convert files from TIFF, JPEG, and BMP formats to single or multi-page TIFF or PDF files. FolderBots delivers the advanced functionality of Pegasus Imaging’s ImagXpress and ScanFix Xpress components, without requiring application development.
