Q1: How can I determine if I have the latest version of an Accusoft Pegasus control?
If you have Accusoft Pegasus component products installed on your development machine, you can use PegConnect, a helpful utility installed with all Accusoft Pegasus component products, to verify that you have the most current component build available. It will be accessed through the menu at Start|Programs|Accusoft|Common|Utilities as PegConnect (If your Accusoft Pegasus toolkit is not the latest version, the menu path may be Start|Programs|Pegasus Imaging|Common|Utilities). A PegConnect help file is also available as reference information.
Use PegConnect to:

1) Check with Accusoft Pegasus via online connection and verify that the installed version of the component includes all the most recent updates
2) Update to the latest ActiveX version automatically with your permission. Updating a .NET control requires that the latest component installer be run from the Products link at:
http://www.accusoft.com/
3) Determine if a control is registered or unregistered on the machine
4) Easily change the registration status from registered to non-registered, or non-registered to registered

If you are working on a machine on which the components have not been installed, you can download the PegConnect utility program from the following link:
PegConnect
or reference the Latest Builds page.

Q2: How do I order Accusoft Pegasus products?
Click on the "purchase" button at the top right of the website or click on the "buy online" button on each product pricing page.

Q3: How may I receive phone support from Accusoft Pegasus?
Phone support is provided through our Priority Support program. If you require phone support and are not subscribed to our Priority Support program, you may purchase  Support Incidents.  A package of four Support Incidents entitles you to receive Priority Support, including phone, email and live chat for four separate support issues. Visit our Support Plan page for additional information.

Q4: What is Licensing?
Licensing fees are fees paid to Accusoft Pegasus for the ongoing use of Accusoft Pegasus products and/or technologies in applications built using Accusoft Pegasus products. Accusoft Pegasus prides itself on very reasonable and flexible licensing schedules, and strives to follow the customers' business distribution model. The following link contains additional information: Licensing Information

Q5: Can I receive registration codes via e-mail and also receive a manual via regular mail?
No, we no longer provide paper manuals. To insure our customers always have access to the most updated support information possible, we include an electronic Help File with each product downloaded and sold.

Q6: How can I update to the latest version of an Accusoft Pegasus control?
Almost every Accusoft Pegasus component Software Development Kit (SDK) is comprised of multiple components. When components are included in multiple SDKs, and many are, the most recently updated component (i.e. the component with the latest build date) replaces earlier components with earlier build dates. For this reason, installing these updated SDKs will make available the updated components in any SDKs using them.

1) Check with Accusoft Pegasus via online connection and verify that the installed version of the component is the latest available

Q7: I lost my original registration information. How can I receive it?
Please use the Lost Codes Form on our website to have the product resent to you: http://www.accusoft.com/lostcodes.htm. Please note that you will need your original and current email addresses.

Q8: Where can I download a previous version of an Accusoft Pegasus product?
All current versions of Accusoft Pegasus toolkits are available via the 'Download' link on the individual product web pages on the Accusoft Pegasus web site.

For all of the non-current Accusoft Pegasus kits offered since 1998, please use our 'Lost Codes' form on our website and the computer will resend your registration and installation information. Please make sure to use the correct email address, both from the time of purchase, and at present, if changed.

Q9: When do I receive my registration codes?
Typically you will receive your registration code(s) within 6 hours of the time of purchase excluding holidays and weekends, and frequently within 6 hours on those days as well.

Q10: Can Accusoft Pegasus controls be used in a multi-threaded environment and perform synchronous thread-safe processing?
Yes. An application using an Accusoft Pegasus control can use multiple controls running in the same process, where they don't interfere with each other. The thread creating the control owns the control and is the only thread that can interact with it.

Q11: I have some very large files that I need to upload. Is there an FTP location that you can provide to upload the files to?
1) Open Windows Explorer and type ftp.jpg.com into the Navigation Bar.
2) Right Click inside Windows Explorer to bring up the standard context menu.
3) Find "Login As" and click it to login to FTP Server.
4) Provide the user name: support and the password: 853ae90f

Once you've successfully logged in, you can drop your files into the folder.

Q12: I am trying to use an Accusoft Pegasus control in Delphi and need the steps to import the control into the Delphi development environment?
Please find outlined below the detailed steps for importing the ActiveX control into Delphi:

Please Note: Substitute the actual name of the control you are using where the "PegasusControlName" text appears.

1) Open the project in which you want to use the Accusoft Pegasus control. This can be a new or existing project.
2) Choose Component | Import ActiveX Control from the menu.
3) Locate and choose the "PegasusControlName" control and choose "Install".
4) Click the Browse... button to the right of the File name box, browse to the folder of your choice, enter "PegasusControlName" into the File name box and click Open. Into the Description box, enter "PegasusControlName".
5) Answer Yes to the Confirm dialog that appears: "Package PegasusControlName.bpl will be built then installed. Continue?".
6) Click OK on the following Information dialog.
7) Close the Package window, and Answer Yes to Save the changes.

You should now see the PegasusControlName icon displayed under the ActiveX tab in Delphi.

Q13: Why am I receiving a bounced back message with the text, "Our system detected an illegal attachment on your message"?
If you need to send us an attachment that contains an EXE or DLL or any scripting file formats, we can no longer accept these file formats in ZIP files. Please provide your attachment in the RAR format. If you need a utility to create RAR compressed archives we recommend downloading the appropriate WinRar version from here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Also, you may upload any files to us by using the information listed here.
