Imaging Leader AccuSoft Ships New .NET Version of ImageGear Product
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass., — April 24, 2006 — AccuSoft® Corporation, the global leader in imaging and data analysis solutions, announced today the release of an enhanced version of ImageGear® for .NET. The new release provides a fast and easy way for programmers to develop ASP .NET-based imaging applications. Rapid porting from current Win forms applications to a zero-footprint Web form application is available, as both delivery mechanisms utilize the same programming model and capabilities. Using this high-performance toolkit, developers can create multiple applications on the .NET framework using 100 percent managed code.

ImageGear for .NET also now features a complete set of flexible annotation marks (text, line, freehand polyline, rectangle, ellipse, polygon, polyline, audio, image, ruler, protractor, encryption, button, hot spot and rich text) and the ability to import and export these marks to XML files. PDF support has been enhanced to provide PDF security measures, layer editing, and editing of elements such as text, image, and metadata. Other enhancements include CAD/vector support, a new download manager for URL file-streams, support for Motion JPEG20g (MJ2) files, OCR/Barcode capabilities, and color reduction. In addition, reading and writing of JPEG2000 images is now included at no additional charge.
