Pegasus Imaging Releases ImagXpress v9 SDK for Document Imaging & Photo Imaging |
| TAMPA, FL, June 2, 2008 - Pegasus Imaging Corporation, the leader in digital imaging technology, today announces the release of a new version of ImagXpress for developers of document imaging and photo imaging applications. ImagXpress is provided as either a .NET or ActiveX COM Software Development Kit (SDK). The new version adds features, more flexibility to existing functions, increased speed, and improved ease of use. ImagXpress v9 adds new image file formats, improved rendering, the ability to query image data from memory, XML and XFDF annotation support, new annotation features, improved Unicode support, enhanced TWAIN scanning features, new image thumbnail features, improved printing support, new user interface features, and more. “The new version of ImagXpress delivers many improvements to applications that require stability and comprehensive features. Pegasus stands behind its code by addressing the continual changes in operating systems, development environments, browsers, and security factors experienced by our customers,” says Jack Berlin, president of Pegasus Imaging. “Over the last few years, we’ve updated ImagXpress frequently to support these changes through service packs. These updates, plus all the new features, will carry our customers into the future.” Technical highlights of ImagXpress v9 include new support for HD Photo (JPEG XR), CAD, and AFP, and additional JPEG 2000 features. The toolkit improves the ability to load, process, and view very large image files such as PDF or CAD. Users may also query image data from memory without loading the entire image. Thumbnail image viewing enhancements enable greater flexibility and more control options. The annotation control adds XML multi-page support, plus XFDF support for import and export of annotations Unicode support has been expanded for file names, printing, and TWAIN scanning.
