Pegasus Imaging Corporation Announces New Release of the JPEG Wizard, the JPEG Editing Tool

TAMPA, FL, January 16, 2002 – Pegasus Imaging Corporation, a leader in digital imaging technology, recently released the latest version of The JPEG Wizard, version 2. The JPEG Wizard is a JPEG editing tool that allows webmasters and digital photo enthusiasts to edit images and digital photos, and then compress and recompress them without recompression loss. The result is higher quality, smaller, faster downloading images.

The JPEG Wizard v2 offers many new features, including the breakthrough Red Eye Removal technology by Pegasus Imaging. Used for editing digital photos, it performs a lossless crop around the eyes, decompresses only this area, allows the user to adjust for glare, darkness, and red face, removes the red eye, recompresses the area, and then puts the lossless image back in. This technology does not affect the quality of the rest of the image, like many other red eye removal technologies in the industry.

Other new features of the latest version include 40 new image processing filters, a more powerful batch engine, more robust Exif handling, an enhanced, easier-to-use interface, unlimited undo and redo of edits, file folder thumbnail browser, smart file naming when saving, batch command line interface, Windows XP support, and Photo CD support.
