Pegasus Imaging Invests in Real Estate for Future Expansion of Headquarters
TAMPA, FL, JUNE 25, 2008 – Pegasus® Imaging Corporation today announces the strategic purchase of commercial real estate adjacent to its headquarters, allowing for future expansion. Founded in Tampa in 1991, Pegasus Imaging is a privately-held digital imaging technology company expanding its presence along the borders of South Seminole Heights, Tampa Heights, and Wellswood. The new property is located at 901 West Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard in Tampa, Florida. The headquarters will remain next door at 4001 North Riverside Drive, also in Tampa.

The adjacent property will provide additional employee parking and local storage as Pegasus continues to increase its operations. Eventually, demolition of the 3,500 sq. ft building will occur to expand the headquarters. Originally purchased in 2004, Pegasus Imaging completed the second phase of renovation to the headquarters approximately one year ago. The company acquired another building earlier this year, which is under a complete renovation to provide additional office space at 1725 West Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard in Tampa, Florida.

The company’s primary goal in acquiring the additional real estate is to protect and grow its assets while providing space for growth. As a result, Pegasus Imaging’s forward-thinking strategy continues to make a positive impact on the local economy. It is thriving, continuously growing, and bringing in more high-tech engineering positions to the area. The company is completely renovating both the building interiors and exteriors of the buildings it purchases, increasing commercial property values in the area. Local business are also benefitting from improved curb appeal.

"We seized the opportunity to acquire the property adjacent to us as soon as it became available,” said Jack Berlin, president of Pegasus Imaging. “There’s no doubt we are going to grow and we did not want to leave potential expansion space to chance. Adjacent space has numerous advantages over an off-site location. Less distance improves communication between employees, and the current headquarters now has room to grow before the entire company needs to move to a larger facility."
