AccuSoft Announces Enhanced Version of VisiQuest Software for Image and Data Analysis

VisiQuest Version 4.2 Shortens Prototyping Effort and Speeds Implementation to Cost Effectively Develop Solutions

A powerful solution that provides researchers, scientists, engineers, and educators with a faster way to reach discovery in the fields of data and image analysis, VisiQuest delivers a comprehensive library of imaging processing algorithms, custom development tools, and a graphical programming environment that eliminates the need for writing code in a proprietary language. Fully optimized to take advantage of distributed processing and runtime changes, VisiQuest 4.2 makes prototyping and testing faster and simpler than ever.

VisiQuest 4.2 introduces a number of new features for its Windows version which are already available for its UNIX releases. The ability to make runtime changes to an application dramatically speeds testing by allowing complex applications to continue to execute while the user conducts fine tuning. The ability to disable glyphs, the graphical icons that eliminate the need to program in a proprietary language, makes the prototyping and testing effort easier. This feature is especially useful in applications such as filter design where a user is trying different techniques and does not want to stop their program while running. Distributed processing support is also included in this release. Users can now distribute a portion of their application to run on other computers, thus turning dormant workstations into powerful processors working on complex analysis problems. And since VisiQuest supports multiple operating systems, applications can be distributed across a mixed Windows/UNIX environment. Taking advantage of unused processing power is another way VisiQuest shortens the prototyping effort and bring solutions to market faster.

VisiQuest 4.2 will be available for purchase or evaluation through AccuSoft and its international network of authorized resellers on Friday, February 17th. Supported platforms include Windows 2000, Windows XP, Linux, SGI IRIX, Sun Solaris, HPUX and Apple OSX. VisiQuest 4.2 is a free upgrade for current VisiQuest customers on active maintenance plans. For new customers, domestic pricing begins at $1,795. For a limited time, new customers who purchase VisiQuest 4.2 will receive at no additional cost, the Company’s new Signal Processing Toolbox for use with VisiQuest. Software development environment tools for extending functionality are available for an additional $700. Also offered are discounted academic research licenses and free classroom use for students.
