Two New ImageGear Versions Provide Performance Increases of 3-5x Over Competing Raster-Based PDF Rendering Tools
The introduction of these releases marks the integration of the Adobe PDF library, allowing users to automatically conform to the highest PDF language standard. PDF is the recognized standard for document distribution and display on the World Wide Web, where page fidelity is a requirement. ImageGear users will now be able to read and write PDF 1.5 documents in the native vector format, as well as perform content extraction of text, images and graphics from these documents. All of the current PDF compression formats are supported, and performance is increased 3-5x over other raster based PDF rendering tools. The new versions of ImageGear also include the introduction of an Object Oriented and componentized ActiveX version, which, combined with the new unified Graphical User Interface (GUIs) controls, will enable developers to create applications faster and more intuitively than ever before possible. Other enhancements include extensive improvements in file format handling, compression, and performance, including OpenGL-based rendering for CAD documents, improved CGM file support, and JPEG2000 read/write support for DICOM medical images within the new release of the ImageGear MD toolkit for medical applications. The ImageGear Enterprise Edition, version 13, which includes all of the functionality and components of the ImageGear Professional Edition, with combined support for all platforms, and comprehensive facilities for building enterprise-class, client/server and Web-based imaging and document delivery solutions with the NetVue™ toolkit module, is priced at $8,995.
