Accusoft Pegasus Receives 2011 Earth Charter US Sustainable Business Award

TAMPA, Fla. – February 25, 2011 – Accusoft Pegasus, the leading provider of imaging software development kits (SDKs), announces it has received a Sustainable Business Award 2011 from Earth Charter US.

The 2011 Sustainable Business Awards recognizes 18 Tampa Bay Area businesses, whose efforts have demonstrated sustainable business practices that embrace social, economic and environmental responsibility. These businesses have made a commitment to focus their sustainable efforts on People (Employee and Community Wellbeing), Profit (Economic Performance) and Planet (Environmental Health). In addition, these winners will be invited to join the Earth Charter US Sustainable Business Coalition, which is comprised of top executives and corporate officers who want to shape the sustainable economy in the Greater Tampa Bay area.

The Sustainable Business Award has been developed in partnership with the University of Tampa's John Sykes College of Business Center for Ethics. The University of Tampa Graduate Business Students Team, who developed the criteria for the award, carefully reviewed all nomination forms and follow up questionnaires before making the final selection decision, which was approved by the Earth Charter US Sustainable Business Awards Committee.
