Functions

ImageGear for 64-Bit provides the most comprehensive, high performance imaging functionality on the market today.

ImageGear for 64-Bit is 100% thread-safe, allowing developers to maximize the performance of threaded applications on multi-CPU computers. This provides the benefit of scalable performance at a tremendous cost savings over other implementations. Every ImageGear API function can be executed from within a thread.

Display

ImageGear provides complete control over how images are displayed, thus enabling management of the display attributes being made available to the resulting imaging applications. All of ImageGear's display attributes effect the display of an image only, and do not alter the image bitmap or the color palette in the associated DIB.

Any time an image is displayed, you can center, zoom or scroll from within your application. The ImageGear display API is especially optimized to efficiently handle large 1-bit images.

Acquisition

ImageGear features highly flexible support for the reading and writing of image files and offers many functions for complete program control. ImageGear has the fastest TIFF, JPEG, GIF, MO:DCA, and Group IV processing available.

ImageGear algorithms are continuously tested against all industry benchmarks with constant efforts being made to improve performance and stay abreast of new and emerging technologies. With over 150 image formats in existence and an ever-increasing array of capabilities and options for each, developers must rely on an SDK that can support the most popular graphics file formats, thus preventing compatibility problems before they arise.

Image & Color Processing

ImageGear has dozens of image processing functions, all designed to optimize development resources and help to make applications more powerful. Every function within ImageGear, especially those that include algorithms or process large amounts of data, is carefully designed and coded for maximum performance.

Many functions are coded in assembly language to optimize performance. We continually test our algorithms and overall performance against all competitors. Whenever we find anything that is not the fastest, we optimize even further. All this means that AccuSoft customers get the fastest results and the applications they develop will have a performance advantage over others.

Transformations & File Formats

ImageGear supports over 100 file formats, including raster and vector images.  AccuSoft is also the only company willing to guarantee that all the supported formats (and all variants therein) will be displayed correctly.

Utilities

ImageGear's image utility family of functions provides you with the capabilities to create, import, and export images in either DIB or DDB format, and to obtain information about any image for which you have a HIGEAR handle. Information about image files stored on mass storage devices, such as the file format type, compression, width, height, bits per pixel, or number of pages if a multi-page file.

ImageGear's small group of functions, called "library utility" functions, are provided so that you can conveniently obtain the ImageGear version and function status. ImageGear's also provides powerful support for callback functions, allowing the developer to to control load, save, print, and other operations under the control of their application.

Medical Functions

The format support of the DICOM component includes loading and saving monochrome, palletized, and true color medical images using DICOM Part 10-compliant images and DICOM Raw Format (non-Part 10-compliant). In addition, your application will continue to support all ImageGear for 64-Bit supported formats — meaning that you can convert an image of a different format to a medical image format, and vice versa.
