Image Processing Tasks

VisiQuest can be used for a wide variety of image processing tasks, from auto-coloring and thresholding, to 3D renderings of 2D image slices. Below are some examples of these tasks:

Image Manipulation

Edit Image: Comprehensive Image Manipulation glyph

• Clip Masks
• Multiband images control band display
• Colormap Editing and Normalization
• Map data display control in red, green, and blue
• Produce new colormaps from map data values
• Autocolor procedures and colormap operations
• Regular and irregular region of interest extraction
• Interactively create new data sets
• Display of pixel values surrounding a location
• Display of map data values surrounding a location
• Colormap manipulation via pseudo-coloring
• Pixel clipping and pixel thresholding on the image

Advanced Visualization

In a few short steps, VisiQuest can create and render 3D fly-through by stacking a series of 2D image slices. It is also easy to apply meshes and colorization, or turn any set of 2D or 3D images into an animation.

Statistical Reporting

Statistics Glyph:
Computes the mean, variance, standard deviation, RMS level, skew, kurtosis, minimum value, maximum value, and integral (positive, negative, and total sums) of the Input data object (i).

Also computes information such as the number of unmasked or ungated points (positive, negative, zero-valued, and total counts), the coordinates of the minimum and maximum values, and the dimensions of the data object.
