On average, Accusoft Pegasus' PICVideo Lossless JPEG Codec is over 3 times faster than the public domain code made available by Cornell University, as demonstrated by the independent benchmark study performed by Duke Medical. (Each frame is 512X512, 8-bit grayscale. These tests were done on a Dell OptiPlex GXa with a 266 MHz Pentium II running Windows NT v4 SP3.)
