System Requirements

ImageGear for Silverlight requires Microsoft Silverlight 2 or 3, which currently requires the following:

Compatible Operating Systems and Browsers

ImageGear for Silverlight requires the following software to be installed and configured on the computer hosting Silverlight applications:

• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

• Microsoft Internet Information Server
  Microsoft IIS should be installed and configured for Silverlight on the computer hosting the Silverlight applications:

• Windows Vista
  To make sure IIS (version 7.0) and the appropriate features are installed, go to Control Panel, and click Programs and Features. Click the "Turn Windows features on or off" link, and do the following:

  • Expand the tree node for Internet Information Services to add more options, since not all the necessary options may be checked.

  • Under World Wide Web Services, expand Application Development Features and make sure to check .NET Extensibility and ASP.NET.

  • Expand the tree node for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 and check Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation.

• Windows XP Pro
  To make sure IIS and the appropriate features are installed, go to the Control Panel, and click Add or Remove Programs.
  Click Add\Remove Windows Components (on the left panel) and select Internet Information Services (IIS) and click Next.

NOTE: At this point a Copy error might occur as follows:

"Ensure that the disk labeled 'Windows XP Professional CD-ROM' is in the drive selected below, or provide the location where the file can be found."

Insert the XP Pro installation CD and Browse under ...\i386\ and select admxprox.dll and click Retry. These steps should install IIS version 5.1.

Disk Space

The Installation program will tell you how much disk space you need in order to load ImageGear. The disk space used will vary, depending upon the options you select during installation.
