Support Policies
Support and Maintenance Policy
AccuSoft provides product support and maintenance services for all of its products. These services provide the subscriber with a certain level of ongoing technical assistance (i.e., support) and access to software updates (i.e., maintenance).
The subscriber is the individual or company who has licensed one or more products from AccuSoft, and who is entitled to product support and maintenance services under the terms and conditions of its Software License Agreement with AccuSoft. Additionally, unless otherwise stated in this policy, the terms used in this policy shall have the same meanings as the terms defined in Article I of the Software License Agreement.
Details of the support policies are detailed in the product documentation.
End of Life Policy
All AccuSoft products have a pre-determined commercial lifetime. In
order to provide the highest quality products and support to our
customers, each product is developed utilizing a product lifecycle
methodology, which includes an End-of-Life (EOL) phase.
Major Product Family Releases
The AccuSoft product EOL policy is to support the current major release
plus the previous (one back) version for up to 6 months by default.
Once the EOL process starts on a major product release, a notice will be
posted on all relevant download pages stating that the product release
has entered the EOL process. The notice will also state the date after
which the product will no longer be supported.
Once EOL has been announced on a major product family, AccuSoft will
provide support for a subsequent 6 month period. Note that customers may
purchase specific support entitlements to provide product support beyond
the stated EOL period. Customers will also have the option for a 3 month
last-time buy window to procure additional client licenses.
Once the product has completed the EOL process, the download links will
be moved to the Product Archive page for historical purposes to
allow developers to resolve issues with EOL products.
Update Releases
Update releases are produced on a regular basis for updating the
current AccuSoft product release (an update release example would be
ImageGear Professional Edition v. 14.9.00x). Since this is an update to
a major release, the update itself does not have a separate EOL period.
Once a new update is issued, the previous download links will be migrated to
the Product Archive page for historical purposes and to allow
developers to resolve issues with unsupported EOL products. This
migrated update will no longer be supported by AccuSoft.
Optional Module Packages
Once the EOL process starts on the last instance of an optional
package, a notice will be posted on all relevant download pages stating
that the product has entered the EOL process and will also state the
date after which the optional package will no longer be supported.
Generally, an optional package will follow the EOL timeframe of the last
ImageGear SDK that supports the optional package.
Once the product has completed the EOL process, the download links will
be moved to the Product Archive page for historical purposes and
to allow developers to resolve issues with unsupported EOL products.
