Tasman Barcode recognition software is now provided by Accusoft Pegasus

On January 9, 2009, Accusoft Pegasus purchased the exclusive right
to sell and license all Tasman barcode solutions.



Can I still purchase Tasman.bars Software Development Toolkits (SDKs)?
The tasman.bars Java and tasman.bars.jme Java Micro Edition SDKs are now available from Accusoft Pegasus as Barcode Xpress Java and Java ME editions. Tasman.Bars.Net has been replaced with Barcode Xpress .NET, which includes extensive image manipulation features, as well as 1D and 2D barcode creation options. All of these products require a runtime license and royalty fee for each copy that is deployed. For licensing details, please contact sales@accusoft.com.

What kind of support is available?
Accusoft Pegasus is well known for its industry-leading software support. You can obtain E-mail support at support@accusoft.com. Our Chariot Support option adds free upgrades to future versions, telephone support, and priority E-mail support.

Can I deploy the solution I’ve already built?
A product that you have already developed may be deployed according to your original agreement with Tasman. Accusoft Pegasus does not offer technical support for these distributions. Any products now being developed and deployed require runtime licensing, and will enjoy the full support of Accusoft Pegasus. Please contact sales@accusoft.com to discuss runtime licensing. We can provide attractive licensing terms for almost any deployment model.

How can I try out your barcode recognition solutions?
All of the Barcode Xpress SDKs are available as full-featured trials. Demonstration programs for each edition are also available, so that you can try out our barcode recognition on your own images without installing the toolkit.
