Accusoft Launches ImageGear.NET v23

The enhanced version of ImageGear brings the image processing library to a wider audience with capabilities for new languages and heightened PDF conversion

TAMPA, Fla. – May 11, 2017 – Accusoft, the leader in content and imaging solutions, launched a new version of its document imaging suite, ImageGear, a multi-platform, multi-language document imaging developer toolkit. ImageGear.NET v23, the newest version of its .NET image processing library, offers developers new AcroForm functionality, the addition of Asian OCR output to PDF, and strengthened PDF/A conversion with compliance check.

ImageGear for .NET is the most advanced way to create, control, and deliver secure, high-quality imaging applications. Through ImageGear, users can easily add powerful imaging capability to applications. ImageGear supports all of the most commonly used graphics file formats, providing complete compatibility when developing .NET solutions, Windows Forms applications, ASP.NET Web Forms applications, or ASP.NET Web Service applications across multiple platforms.

The update will address the need for extended form field capabilities with a new AcroForms feature. This allows users to create, delete, and save to PDF with expanded options, like the ability to read and write data from form fields. With its ability to convert data in order to pre-populate fields and find the location of a field in a form via the page and coordinates, the AcroForms feature will enhance the end-user experience through the straightforward PDF forms API.

Additionally, ImageGear.NET v23 now supports Asian optical character recognition (OCR) output to PDF. With the inclusion of Chinese, Japanese and Korean OCR output to PDF, users have amplified adaptability and the power to seamlessly create PDFs globally. A new language detection feature allows users to input document images in any language and get accurate OCR results without needing to manually intervene.

ImageGear.NET v23 enables us to bring our image processing library to an expanded audience,” says Jack Berlin, CEO of Accusoft. “In order to give our users an unparalleled experience in delivering high-quality applications, we solved the pain points that prevent many developer toolkits from reaching a global market.

Other ImageGear.NET v23 updates include improved PDF/A validation and conversion for seamless archival and long-term preservation of electronic documents.

We’re committed to building the best platform for our users, and continually revisiting and upgrading ImageGear features is one way that we’re delivering on that promise,” said Tom Setzer, Director of SDKs at Accusoft. “Our users can feel confident in knowing that we’re continuously working to provide the best experience possible.
