PICTools Medical contains low-level C libraries providing the fastest compression and decompression engines available. It offers both lossy and lossless DICOM-compliant formats, including 8-bit and 16-bit grayscale. PICTools Medical provides control over image manipulation, compression, decompression, and conversion. PICTools technologies are supported across multiple environments. |
PICTools Medical provides commercially supported software development libraries for lossy JPEG, lossless JPEG, JPEG 2000 Part 1, JPIP, JPEG 2000 Part 2 3D volumetric encoding, JPEG-LS and HD Photo (JPEG XR). PICTools JPEG 2000 technology features a user-configurable number of threads per operation for optimal throughput on multicore CPUs. Ideal for large medical images, this SDK also provides sophisticated imaging technology enabling engineers to design and build a JPEG 2000 JPIP implementation wholly in accordance with the JPEG 2000, Part 9 standard. PICTools technologies are supported across multiple environments, including 32-bit / 64-bit Windows, 32-bit / 64-bit Linux, 32-bit / 64-bit Solaris SPARC, 32-bit / 64-bit Solaris x86, AIX, and more. |
