- Responsible for independently and creatively sourcing qualified leads, prospecting outbound to worldwide resellers and channel partners and offering license opportunities to existing and new accounts within the assigned Channel/PCC Distribution Market
- Respond to sales inquiries and ensure regular contact of existent accounts
- Maintain notes and process sales orders in the sales database, as appropriate
- Conduct off-site customer meetings and attend company trade shows, as required
- Develop and implement business plans for each partner (VAR), and track joint goals
- Understand the partner business at an executive level and align Accusoft resources to achieve results
- Develop partners to become increasingly self-sufficient in the marketing and selling of Accusoft's product/services
- Drive (and sometimes lead) partner training including sales, pre-sales, and operations
- Understand and align Accusoft's resources with the partners vertical expertise and or other technology partners
- Serve as internal / external champion of the channel. Build credibility and "trusted advisor" status within Accusoft's channel. Be seen as a channel advocate, business leader, problem solver by all levels within our partner community
- Effectively sell and manage account sell through by consultatively selling; develop multi-level relationships within the partner accounts, using professional communications skills
- Grow the Registrations sourced by partners quarterly and yearly
- Balanced contribution across regions in terms of partner participation and performance
- Attend events and activities that drive mind share and the registrations and pipeline's quarterly and yearly goals
- Exceeding partner based goals to ensure that Accusoft’s products remain strong investment candidates for partner’s solution portfolios
- Identify and develop successful long-term opportunities and partnerships. Research, recommend, and execute channel marketing programs for these new accounts
- Develop channel partners resulting in increases in market share and mind share with the goal of becoming the partner's leading storage related vendor
- Works independently and successfully in unsupervised work environments
- Meet and exceed assigned quarterly and annual targets
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills (Must Have)
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with conducting web-based demos using tools such as WebEx, GoToMeeting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Results driven and project a positive professional image
- Aptitude for selling high technology software, hardware, IT products, document management to medium sized firms
- Ability to travel for trade shows up to 15%
