Q1: Why do I see the following message when trying to view an Office 2007 file in Netvue v4.1or 4.2? “Cannot render document: File:test.docx , ImageGear error -2010 in row 300”. How do I resolve the issue? |
| The error occurs because the Office 2007 Rendering settings are not enabled by default in the NetVue Render Settings tab. The steps to resolve this issue are detailed below: 1) In the Netvue Server controls access the Rendering Settings option and Scroll Down to the Auto-Detect Microsoft Office 2007 Documents. 2) Ensure this option is checked and click submit. You should now be able to open Office 2007 Documents. |
Q2: Why when using Windows Server 2008 are none of the settings in the Render Settings options being saved? |
| This is because under IIS 7 it is necessary to add an actual user as this version of IIS does not allow you to just have an anonymous user. The steps to add this user are detailed below. 1) Access the Administrative Tools in the Control Panel and the IIS Manager. 2) Access the Authentication Panel and the Anonymous Authentication option. Choose Edit and Add an actual user. 3) Close out of IIS and you should now be able to adjust any of the settings where you had issues before and they will be saved. |
Q3: Why do I get the following message? “NetVue Server Status, Server has yet to be initialized”. How do I correct this issue? |
| The items listed below are all possible causes of this message. Please verify all have been done as doing so should resolve the issue you are seeing. 1) Make sure that ISAPI filters are enabled on the server. 2) Make sure the NetVue service has been started as it does not start automatically. The default Startup Type is Manual. Once the installation of ImageGear Enterprise is complete, you should set the service’s Startup Type to Automatic. 3) Make sure that access has been granted to this registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AccuSoft\NetVue. If the issues persist please obtain the nvserver.log and send to support@accusoft.com. The log will help us to determine what might be causing the issue. The log can be found in this location (where you installed the NetVue server): C:\Program Files\Accusoft\NetVue v4\Bin |
Q4: Why would I see a login dialog after installing the product when trying to view an image? |
| This issue can occur by either one or both of the issues as described below: 1) If the password on the NetVue_Anonymous account was changed from the default value of "AccuSoft40" to some other value the dialog can be displayed. The issue should be resolved by ensuring that the password is set to the correct default value. 2) If the NetVue_Anonymous account was somehow disabled on the system. Please make sure this account is enabled on the system where Netvue was installed. |
Q5: Why do I see a “Cannot Render Document” error when trying to render an MS Office Document? |
| Please make sure that MS Office has been installed on the server where the Netvue server was installed as this is the most common reason this issue would occur. If you have installed MS Office and continue to have issues please contact support@accusoft.com for further assistance. |
