A Culture of Philanthropy & Change Makers

At Accusoft, we believe in giving back to our community. Whether it’s in service hours or monetary donations, we own our commitment to make the world in which we live a better place. Our corporate citizenship is not just a box to check on our annual activities list. It’s an integral part of who we are and what we do.

Our commitment to the community is driven by our passionate team members. In 2018, Accusoft formed the Change Makers Committee as an initiative to provide different ways for employees to get involved in giving back. Inspired in part by CEO Jack Berlin’s vision for corporate citizenship, the committee sets up and organizes over a dozen events per year for employees.

Volunteerism

In addition to an active Change Makers Committee, Accusoft provides all employees with one day off per year to go and volunteer at a charity of their choice without using any PTO. This enables team members to get out of their comfort zone, bond with their coworkers, and create a meaningful impact for someone outside of our organization.

Each Change Makers project is led by an internal employee who organizes and promotes the event to coworkers. The Change Makers have made an impact on several organizations this year alone, volunteering 124 hours over the past year.

Our employees have donated their time, energy, and funds to support organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. This doesn’t even include the hours spent outside of work at Feeding Tampa Bay and the Hillsborough County Park cleanup.

Since the Change Makers were formed, Accusoft employees have volunteered with Coastal Cleanup, helped build X homes with Habitat for Humanity, hosted a blood drive, and donated numerous gifts to the foster home known as A Kid’s Place.

Philanthropy

At Accusoft, we also believe in charitable donations. In fact, our CEO encourages every employee to champion a charity once a year with an Accusoft match. This initiative encourages all employees to get closer to the community and advocate for organizations who are making it a better place to live.

This year, Accusoft has raised over $12K to give to various charities including the Arthritis Foundation, Rehema Home, March of Dimes, and the Rosa Valdez Early Childhood Learning Foundation. We also championed a school supply drive, where we raised enough money to purchase 100 backpacks and six large boxes of school supplies for Gibsonton Elementary.

At Accusoft, it’s more than just software that makes us passionate. We strive to achieve collective success, not only in our organization, but our community as well. Learn more about Accusoft and our culture, and consider joining us in making the world a better place.
