Keeping it Local With 125 New Jobs

July 14, 2015, will always be a special day for us here at Accusoft. We were joined by Florida Governor Rick Scott, City of Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Florida House Majority Leader Dana Young, Hillsborough County Commissioner Sandy Murman, and President of USF and Board Member of the Tampa EDC Dr. Judy Genshaft, to announce Accusoft’s plans to add 125 brand new jobs over a 5 year period.

The event began when Governor Scott arrived and greeted all of our employees with a handshake. (He even took a selfie with yours truly). CEO Jack Berlin kicked things off by speaking about the humble beginnings of Accusoft and how we’ve grown to where we are today. He expressed his eagerness to reach the goal of creating 125 new high paying jobs. Stating that, “We accept the challenge to double our number of employees in 5 years”. Jack also said, “It has been great,” about being in the Tampa area. “We’ve grown a lot, we’ve created a lot of jobs already, and we’re going to create a lot more.”

Governor Rick Scott followed with his speech stating that, “They (Accusoft) could have gone anywhere.”. “They do business around the country. They could have picked a lot of different places, but this is the greatest place to do business in the country.”

“Tampa has been a particular hot spot for jobs, with 34,000 jobs created in the last month and an unemployment rate of just 5.4%,” Governor Scott added.

The grant from the state of Florida, along with the city of Tampa and Hillsborough County, totals $750,000 and will be paid if we reach our growth projected hires

We love being in Tampa Bay and look forward to being involved in the success and growth of the technology sector here. It is truly a privilege to be able to create high-paying, meaningful jobs in this area.
